Sourced from the River parcel of the Adrianna Vineyard which is planted at almost 5,000 feet elevation, on a dried river bed that is filled with white stones covered with limestone. These stones are quite fascinating as they allow for optimal drainage as well as absorb the heat from the daytime and also provide a cooling benefit as they cool off at night. This all results in a beautiful, classic expression of Malbec which is all about purity and sheer class. It begins with striking aromatics of dark cherries and red berries woven together with fresh florals, crushed stones and traces of dried herbs all taking shape. On the palate this is flat-out gorgeous, possessing a medium-bodied, silky and refined texture with a remarkably elegant structure. It thoroughly impresses as it effortlessly glides across the palate with incredible balance and finesse aling with remarkable elegance and purity leading up to the graceful finish. Patience will be required, as this shows all the signs for a wonderful evolution ahead.
