The 2016 'Riserva Sergio Zenato' Amarone dispays a dark inky color that is followed up by dark berries, plums and raisins along with dark chocolate, licorice, herbs and tobacco. On the palate this is full-bodied, velvery and beautifully polished. It goes on to impress with its outstanding layered texture and wonderful overall balance and concentration while retaining a lovely sense of freshness all the way through the finish. This is delicious today, but should evolve beautifully with some more bottle age.
