Sourced from the back of the Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard, the 2021 'The Three Kings' Cabernet Sauvignon is a drop-dead gorgeous wine. It is beautifully perfumed, dark and seductive, driven by aromas of sweet dark currents, black cherries and blackberries which are laced with graphite, violets, crushed gravel, tobacco and sweet exotic spices. On the palate this displays notable power and intensity, backed by a rich, structred, full-bodied texture. It is layered and concentrated with remarkable depth, as it contines to impress with its big, muscular tannins that are beautifully polsihed and nicely integrated, resulting in a gorgeous mouthfeel and a long, enveloping finish. This is a serious wine from Carter Cellars that will provide instant pleasure, as well as a drinking window that will span decades.
