VALO Cabernet Franc, White Bluff ‘Reserve Bacchus Vineyard’ 2020

The 2020 Valo Reserve Cabernet Franc from the Bachhus Vineyard develops a shimmering dark purple core with a neon purple rim in the glass. Aged in 66% new French oak barrels that give it some added oak tannin and sweet baking spice tones, it's a grippy, structured, and powerful Franc. Blue-fruit driven (boysenberry and blue plums) with secondary characteristics of whole green peppercorn and dusty earth, it’s a wine that will be better in 2024 and then deliver over the next 14 years or so. Only 100 cass made.
