The 2021 'Original Gangster' is a simply stunning Grenache from the Stagecoach Vineyard. Aromas of cherries, red berries and plums are woven together with spices, earthy mushrooms, orange rind and hints of earthy minerals that all come together beautifully. The palate is medium-bodied with a beautiful sappy texture that is structured around silky tannins and displays remarkable finesse. It goes on to display incredible overall balance and freshness as it combines ripe red fruits, spices and earthy nuances. This is a serious bottle of Grenache that brings together gorgeous fruit character with some funk. No question this will rival some of the best Grenache wines from Rhone.
