The 2021 'BFD’ is a co-ferment of Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from three blocks of To Kalon, B block (Oldest remains clone 337 in To Kalon), F block (younger 337 vines) and D block (last remaining clone 6 in To Kalon). The result is a simply exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon and a true masterpiece of winemaking. It begins with incredibly perfumed aromatics that are remarkably pure and intoxicating. Seductive aromas of dark cherries, blackcurrants and hints of blueberries are joined by graphite, violets and gravel nuances all come together harmoniously from the glass. On the palate this offers a full body that is beautifully balanced, and structured with gorgeous polished tannins that are well-integrated and frame its concentrated core. It continues to impress all the way through the long, seamless, finish as wonderful flavors of ripe dark/red fruits, graphite and sweet spices continue to linger effortlessly. The 2021 'BFD' is utterly striking for its incredible purity and focus. It is a testament to both the winemaking at Tor as well as the knowledge of the vineyard, to identify these special blocks and showcase them through such a magnificent wine.
