The 2021 ‘FnA’ Cabernet Sauvignon is an extremely rare bottling from Tor that comes from To Kalon’s F block and A block, and the combination of the two blocks is nothing short of a work-of-art. This is an elegant, sophisticated Cabernet with incredible finesse and purity. It begins with seductive aromatics that are simply mesmerizing, ripe black cherries, blackcurrants, fresh violets, graphite, licorice, tar and hints of fresh sage all emerge beautifully from the glass. This is full-bodied, impeccably balanced and utterly seamless as it enters the palate, then expands gracefully, delivering delicious ripe dark fruits and black cherries, followed by the gentlest touch of sweet spices and graphite shavings that continue to build through the extraordinary finish. Everything works together in perfect harmony, the incredible perfumed aromas, gorgeous mouthfeel with outstanding freshness and purity, and the long graceful finish, make this a completely captivating wine from beginning to end. While this is absolutely stunning today, it will only become more compelling as it evolves over time. Another magnificent wine from Tor and his team in this vintage.
