The 2021 'Cuvee Torchiana' Chardonnay comes from a single three-acre, low yielding parcel in the Beresini Vineyard. It is an utterly fascinating showing in this vintage, as it instantly opens to striking aromatics of pears, white peaches, lemon oil, pineapple, vanilla blossoms and crushed stones with a lovely saline character that all come together beautifully in the glass. On the palate this is every bit as stunning, displaying gorgeous rich, creamy texture that is impeccably balanced with the perfect touch of acidity and minerality to provide wonderful lift through the precise finish. This fantastic Chardonnay has it all, and while it is extremely accessible today, it also displays the potential to continue to evolve and drink beautifully with some additional bottle age.
