The 2021 'Alessio' Proprietary Red is composed of 60% Merlot from Sugarloaf, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon from Tench and 20% Cabernet Franc from Sugarloaf. It instantly begins with incredibly seductive aromatics of ripe black cherries and fresh blackberries, which are beautifully woven together with exotic spices, violets as well as loam and mineral character that all come together and burst from the glass. On the palate this is every bit as stunning, full-bodied, intense and concentrated, yet displaying remarkable balance and poise. It continues to impress with its wonderful purity and depth, as plush layers of ripe dark fruits and exotic spices all continue to build and expand seamlessly through the long, opulent finish. While this is fantastic now, it will surely continue to offer drinking pleasure for many years to come.
