The 2021 'Janeen' is an excellent showing that consists of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon from Sage Ridge and 20% Cabernet Franc from Sugarloaf. The aromatics are expressive, as it begins with inviting aromas of black currants and blueberries woven together with sweet spices, tobacco and hints of peppery herb nuances all emerging from the glass. On the palate this is full-bodied, concentrated and structured with polished tannins that lead up the opulent finish. While this is already drinking absolutely beautiful, the 2021 should also go on to offer a drinking window that spans well beyond a decade.
