The 2021 'Peak' Cabernet Franc is a fantastic showing in this vintage. It begins with inviting aromatics of black raspberries, cassis and plum, which are woven together with cedar box, tobacco, baking spices, fresh violets, licorice and underlying wet gravel nuances all developing beautifully in the glass. On the palate this possesses a full body with a gorgeous round texture, driven by a ripe core that frames the flavors of black raspberries, black plums, baking spices and tobacco. It goes on to impress with its outstanding combination of richness and finesse all the way through the finish. This is accessible today, but should also thrive in the cellar for years to come.
