This stunning wine delivers on all levels as it begins with seductive aromatics of beautifully ripe blackberries and currants, which are laced with graphite, spices, sage, violets, iron and crushed gravel all taking shape. The palate is just as impressive, offering a gorgeous full-body that is impeccably structured with beautifully polished tannins and notable tension. Everything works together as the fruit takes center stage, diplaying incredible purity and freshness all the way through the long finish. While this is already impressive on release, it will only become even more impressive as it develops over time. This is a total beauty and clearly one of the most captivating wines from this amazing vintage. I can certanily see this wine reaching perfection as it evolves over the next 2-3 decades.
