The 2021 Denali Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is another sensational wine from AxR in this vintage. It instantly begins to impress with its perfumed aromas of ripe black currants, blackberries and hints of blueberries, which are woven together with suggestions of fresh florals, sweet spices, dusty minerals, graphite and dark chocolate shavings that all burst from the glass. On the palate this is full-bodied with a lovely opulent mouthfeel, along with outstanding depth and concentration. It continues to impress with its remarkable overall balance and structure and sense of freshness that continues into the supple finish. The 2021 is simply stunning right out of the gate, but also has the potential to age gracefully for two decades and beyond.
