The 2022 Pinot Noirs from Melville are outstanding in every way and that includes the 2022 Anna’s Block that was fermented with about 60% whole cluster and aged for 18 months in all-neutral oak which allows the terroir and the fruit to shine through. Offering a pure, complex, intensely perfumed nose of crushed strawberries, cranberries, sea breeze, and grilled lemon zest, this is a lighter and more elegant Pinot than its siblings. Tannis are smooth and rounded across the palate and delivers a stunning finish. Highly recommended and editor’s choice. 525 cases were made.
