Fermented with 50% whole cluster before going into all neutral French oak barrels for 18 months, the 2022 Sandy’s Block Pinot Noir from Melville is another incredible wine from the estate. I love it’s purer, more fruit-driven style, offering gobs of ripe marionberry, frambroise as well as spring flowers and saline. These all carry over to the palate, where a medium-bodied mouthfeel moves to a wonderfully balanced and elegant finish with immaculate acidity and a long finish. 642 cases made. Highly recommended.
