This Cabernet Sauvignon is taken from a special block of the famed Beckstoffer Dr.Crane Vineyard. Deep dark purple in hue, from the first whiff you know the fruit treat you are in store for. Aromas of blackberry liquor interwoven with violet flowers and crushed stones pour from the glass. The palate is long and runs the spectrum of dark mountain berries with an almost syrupy viscosity but with no hard edges. The wine goes on and on and gets better with air so I recommend a long decant. Given the density and power of the fruit I imagine this will continue to improve with age. A very special wine.
