The 2013 Kontos 'Les Collines Vineyard' Syrah is another great effort by head winemaker Cameron Kontos. Coming from a vineyard set at 1380 feet, the wine opens with a nice range aromatics including red cherry, red raspberry, dill and sage. There are rich flavors of red cherry, dill, red raspberry and lavender, as this wine is currently showing a feminine edge and should continue to evolve nicely with some additional bottle age.
