Highlighting the vineyards in the Northern end of the valley this Cabernet Sauvignon includes 7% of Merlot and was aged 22 Months in 65% New French Oak. As this wine begins to open it releases intense aromatics of crème de cassis, spring floral, mocha and cigar box. The mouthfeel is plush, with dense layers of black cherry preserves, mocha, crème de cassis and sweet pipe tobacco flavors coating the palate. This is an absolutely sublime effort which should continue to evolve beautifully over the next decade. (Best 2017-2030) - August, 2017 (OB)
