The 2016 Cincuenta Y Cinco is a drop-dead gorgeous Pinot Noir from Bodega Chacra. This Pinot Noir was sourced from vineyards planted in 1955, which sit on pebbly riverbed soils. It was fermented whole cluster at very low temperatures and spent 14 Months in French oak barrels. The aromas are gorgeous, opening with fresh strawberries and red berries woven together with spices, herbs and wet stones all taking shape. On the palate the silky texture makes this extremely attractive, as this elegant wines shows remarkable overall balance and tension through the long finish. Absolutely outstanding and will age beautifully. (Best 2019-2030) - November, 2017 (JD)
