The 2015 'The Tempest' is a blend of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. It displays an absolute pitch black color and begins with intense aromas of ripe blackberries and blueberries woven together with sweet spices, brown sugar, mocha and hints of loamy soil. On the palate this is full-bodied, dense and remarkably concentrated, possessing a rich, voluptuous texture, supported by soft, round tannins that envelope the palate. This continues to deliver layers of ripe black and blue fruits that cascade on to the long, mouth coating finish. A flamboyany wine, made in an approachable, ultra-modern style that many will find inviting and delicious.
