The 2020 'Argentino' Malbec from Catena Zapata is a stunning wine. It begins with seductive aromas of blackberries, blueberries, mocha, spices and violets that all come together beautifully. On the palate this is full-bodied with a wonderful voluptuous texture and remarkable overall balance and depth. It goes on to impress with its ripe layers of dark fruits, spices and chocolate flavors that persist all the way through the beautiful plush finish. This is nothing short of utterly delicious now and should go on to offer a fabulous drinking window that spans nearly two decades long.
