The 2019 Catena Alta Malbec offers aromas of dark cherries and plums, which are woven together with spices, violets and earthy soil nuances which round out the nose. On the palate this possesses a wonderful plush, velvety texture with notable overall balance. Flavors of dark cherries, spices and cocoa powder that all continue to build and leave a lasting impression on the finish. While this is already showing plenty of appeal, it also has the potential to age in the cellar.
