The 2013 ‘Amancaya’ is a 50/50 blend of Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon. As this begins to unwind it releases aromas of cherries, blackberries, plum and fig come together with spices, loam and sweet tobacco with underlying hints of floral and cedar. The medium to full-bodied red is well balanced and focused with a lovely silky texture as it heads into the finish. Overall, a lovely effort and value which should continue to show well over the next few years. (Best 2016-2020) - September, 2016 (JD)
