The 2019 Gran Reserva Malbec from Corazon Del Sol is produced from the best barrels of Malbec from each vineyard site and is one of the most profound wines I’ve had from this estate. It’s aged for about 2 years in French oak barrels (new and second-use) and showcases a dark purple and ruby core with a neon pink rim in the glass. Complex notes of macerated boysenberries, black cherries, iron ore, crushed pink peppercorn, wet earth, and bay leaf, it changes over time as you leave it in the glass. Medium to full-bodied, it finishes with a lovely blue plum and dried thyme finish. Highly recommended.
