The 2017 Château Beau-Séjour Bécot is excellent. It opens to inviting aromatics of fresh blackberries and currants which are woven together with tobacco, herbs, licorice, spices, espresso and earthy nuances that all take shape beautifully in the glass. On the palate this possesses a medium-plus body and is beautifully structured with polished tannins and silky mouthfeel ending with wonderful freshness through the finish. Composed of 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.
