The 2017 Château Canon-la-Gaffelière is nothing short of stunning. The blend of 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon opens to inviting aromas of dark cherries and blueberries which are laced with herbs, spices, violets and hints of earth that all burst from the glass. On the palate this boasts a medium-plus body that is remarkably concentrated with a ripe core that expands through the long, resonating finish. This is already excellent, however it should continue to evolve gracefully with time.
