The 2020 Chateau Le Loup Saint Emilion Grand Cru is excellent, as it displays a wonderful combination of fruit and earthy mineral characteristics. Aromas of dark cherries and plums combine with spring florals, spices, crushed gravel, earth and tobacco. On the palate this is beautifully textured with a fine, silky mouthfeel which leads into the long finish. While this is already appealing in its youth, it will be worth allowing this develop even further with some short-term cellaring.
