The 2020 Chateau Roc de Calon Montagne-Saint Emilion begins inviting aromas of cherries and plums which are woven together with violets, pipe tobacco, licorice and spices that all in the glass. On the palate this is medium-bodied and well-structured with a velvety texture that leads up to the pretty finish. Overall, this is a nice effort which should drink nicely over the course of the next decade.
