The 2016 Château Rocher Gardat delivers aromas of cherries and red plums woven together with wet stones, florals, tobacco and a touch of licorice which all slowly emerge. On the palate this is medium-bodied with fine, silky tannins and wonderful overall balance. It displays a lovely mineral character which frames the sleek finish. Overall, this is a pretty wine, but needs a bit of time to develop and should be a bit more expressive in a year or two.
