Château Brane-Cantenac has released a marvelous wine in this vintage. The blend of 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot opens to gorgeous aromatics of red and dark berries which are laced with tobacco, violets, earth, menthol and dusty graphite nuances. On the palate this is medium-bodied with a gorgeous texture and remarkable overall concentration and focus. It displays wonderful pure fruit and outstanding bale through the long polished finish. The 2017 is a total success, and while it is already quite appealing in its youth, this should go on to have an even brighter future ahead.
