The 2018 Château du Moulin Haut-Médoc opens to inviting aromatics of blackberries and candied cherries, followed by herbs, minerals and tobacco nuances, which burst from the glass. The mineral-driven palate is medium-bodied, well balanced and structured with fine tannins, leading into the finish, which is marked by flavors of cherries and spices. Overall, this is a lovey showing and a wonderful example of the depth of quality which can be found from the vintage.
