The 2014 Château Barateau instantly opens with aromas of cherries and blackberries followed by tobacco and toast along with a touch of licorice and mineral. This medium-bodied red is velvety and well structured all the way through the finish. Appealing now, but will be at its best in another year or two. (Best 2018-2021) - September, 2017 (JD)
