The 2020 Chateau Haut de la Becade Pauillac opens to aromas of dark plums and black cherries which are woven together with tobacco, spring flowers, coffee and spices. On the palate this is medium-plus bodied, with nicely polished tannins that frame the core of ripe red fruits and sweet toasted notes. Is it beautifully balanced and structured with a lovely velvety texture which leads into the long, elegant finish.
