Medium dark cherry core with a lighter cranberry rim in the glass, the 2020 Clos Faubard Premier Cru from Chateau de la Cree boasts a scintillating nose of black cherry, spiced strawberries, and mulberries intermixed with abundant floral, Christmas spice, and sappy herb notes. Everything carries to a medium-bodied, proportional, sleek Santenay that’s drinkable and lovely as they come. It drinks perfectly right now, but enjoy this one over the next decade or more. Highly recommended.
