This 2017 Bourgogne Blanc is an absolutely thrilling wine from Jean-Marc Roulot. It opens to a complex aromatic display led by crisp apple, honey blossoms, lemon peel and a gorgeous salty mineral streak adds even further appeal. On the palate this is utterly striking, with racy acidity on the front end transitioning into a beautiful tight, focused finish that explodes with flavors of citrus, orchard fruits, honey and crushed limestone that resonate through the finish. This Bourgogne is layered, complex and utterly brilliant. While hard to resist now, this should continue to drink beautifully for years to come.
