The 2017 Chateau Villenouvette Corbieres 'Cuvee Marcel Barsalou' begins with inviting aromas of ripe red plums and cassis accents, which come together with exotic spices, wild herbs and crushed stones with a touch of oak. On the palate this is medium-bodied with a gorgeous polished texture and lovely overall balance with enough acidity to keep it fresh and inviting through the long, juicy finish. While this is excellent now, it should continue to drink beautifully over the next few years.
