Every year, this is the wine from Maison Evenstad that I look forward to trying the most. The 2020 Grand Cru Corton-Charlemagne boasts a light to medium lemon core with a silvery rim in the glass. Round, vibrant, and structured on the palate, with ethereal aromas of rich stone fruit, caramelized pear, crunchy toasted hazelnuts, dried herbs alongside shades of allspice, and a hint of dried earth. The incredible finish envelopes the entire palate and goes on for minutes. Highly recommended and editor’s choice.
