The 2020 Vin de France Rouge opens to aromas of dark cherries, plums, violets, chocolate and sweet spices that all take shape in the glass. On the palate this is medium to full-bodied, plush and layered, with a core of sweet ripe fruit that supported by velvery tannins which leads into the finish. This is already quite appealing and offers an immediate drinking window.
