The 2017 'Les Safres' is absolutely beautiful in this vintage. Displaying wonderful elegance and finesse, this stunning blend of 70% Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre and 15% Syrah offers gorgeous aromas of wild berries, exotics spices, forest herbs, moist earth and fresh cut florals that slowly take shape and emerge from the glass. On the palate this is medium-bodied, round and velvety. It displays wonderful freshness and balance with stunning finesse as it comes to an end with a beautiful silky finish that leaves behind notes of dark cherries and spices. Overall this is a utterly fascinating wine, however it will require some cellaring before it hits its stride.
