The 2013 Châteauneuf-du-Pape comes from Valley floor vineyards in the lieux-dits of La Crau , Les Bedines and Les Saintes Vierges. This remarkable showing opens with fresh, ripe aromas of black raspberries, cherries, lavender, minerals and hints of bittersweet chocolate. This gorgeous wine shows excellent balance and possesses a lovely velvety texture which carries through the finish . While this is appealing today, it will also continue to show well over the course of the next decade. (Best 2016-2025) - October, 2015 (JD)
