The 2016 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 'Renaissance' from Roger Sabon is a blend of 30% each of Roussanne, 30% Grenache Blanc, 20% Clairette and 20% Bourboulenc. It opens with expressive aromas of Meyer lemon, orchard fruits and pineapple along with hits of citrus, toast and spring flowers. The texture shows wonderful weight and balance with flavors of fresh tropical fruits, apple and a touch of honey it its core. Overall, this is drinking beautifully right now and should continue to evolve and take on further complexity in bottle.
