Encry's Dosage Zero Blanc de Blancs comes from Le Mesnil-sur Oger and has spent at least 42 months on the lees. This instantly bursts open with aromas of lemon peel, crushed stone, tangerine, toasted hazelnut, white flowers, and crushed stone. The palate is ample and ripe, with gorgeous fruit coupled with a fine stony core and a long, juicy, lingering finish with just a hint of brioche and almond on the back end. Really lovely out of the gate, but with such balance that I am eager to see what a few years in the cellar will do.
