The 2016 'Donna Margherita' is a classic Barbera d'Alba, which offers inviting aromas of red cherries, strawberries, leather and crushed gravel that all come together beautifully. It possesses a medium body, with soft tannins, chalky minerality and lovely acidity that presists through the finish. A wonderful Barbera that is showing very well today, yet should also drink nicely over the course of the next few years.
