The 2014 La Gerla Brunello di Montalcino is a wonderful showing from this challenging vintage in Montalcino. It instantly begins to impress with pretty aromas of black plum, blackberries and roasted meat with lovely spice accents. On the palate shows lovely refinement, with medium body, and velvety tannins that lead the way up to the pleasing finish. This is a fantastic wine to approach early on or watch evolve in the cellar over the course of the next decade.
