The 2017 Brunello di Montalcino from Casanova di Neri is a lovely showing in this vintage. It offers pretty aromas of reb berries and red plums, along with dried exotic spices, balsam, dried florals, orange peel and mineral nuances. On the palate is refined and elegantly structured, with fine silky tannins that expand beautifully on to the long, spice-tinged finish. While this is already extremely appealing now, it should continue to evolve and become even more compelling over the course of the next decade.
