The 2010 Uccelleira Brunello di Montalcino is a completely compelling wine in this vintage. It shows amazing aromas, consisting of freshly crushed dark cherries and blackberries, along with sweet spices, savory herbs and minerals. This full-bodied, balanced and complex Brunello is notable for its fantastic depth and continues to impress with its gorgeous silky texture and outstanding finesse that carries on through the long grippy finish. Today, the wine is quite accessible and there is already so much to like, but allow it another year or so for everything to settle in. Andrea Cortonesi has done an absolutely outstanding job with his 2010's from both Uccelliera and Voliero, these are among the best wines I have tasted in this this vintage and they continue to remain at a modest price.
