The 2015 Cicala is simply stunning, it all begins with a subtle, yet complex aromas of red plums, wild strawberries, wild myrtle, fresh florals and mineral nuances that all come together beautifully in the glass. On the palate this shows the power of Conterno's wines in this vintage, with an elegant full body we well as remarkable precision. This goes on to impress as it shows wonderful tannin structure with a beautifully polished core laced with sweet red berries that expand though the vibrant finish. This is quite appealing today, however it will require some additional bottle age before it hits its stride.
