La Bioca's Barolo from the Ravera Cru is simply gorgeous. It begins with beautifully perfumed aromas of ripe cherries and strawberries that are joined by sweet spices, crushed florals, mint, wet stones and hints of leather all soaring from the glass. On the palate this is classy and refined as it possesses outstanding overall balance and focus. It continues to impress with its wonderful firm, yet polished tannins that frame its juicy core marked by flavors of red berries, florals and spice which all come together beautifully and persist through the long finish. This is a fantastic Barolo from one of the top cru's in all of Barolo that should age brilliantly. Tuck this away for a few years and watch it evolve gracefully over the course of the next decade and beyond.
