The 2017 Luca Marenco Barolo instantly begins to impress with its stunning aromatics of fresh strawberries, pomegranate and ripe cherries, which are laced with minerals, fresh mint, florals and leather nuances that all take shape. This classy Barolo is beautifully structured with fine silky tannins that are elegant yet firm. There is a notable depth, along with a wonderful balance of fruit and acidity keeping it fresh and inviting through the juicy, yet refined finish. Overall, this is an excellent showing in this vintage and while already extremely attractive, this will also age gracefully for years to come.
