The 2007 Oddero Barolo shows lots of class and elegance with lovely aromas of ripe strawberries, raspberry, tar, smoke, fresh cut flowers and mineral. This has a beautiful refined structure with fine-grained tannins and a tight gripping finish that really lasts. The Nebbiolo grapes which make up this wine are hand selected from two different vineyards and aged separately in 40, 60 and 75 –hectoliter Slavonian and Austrian oak barrels for 30 months. They are blended in the spring, then bottled at the end of the summer and aged in the bottle for another 6 months before release. (Best 2013-2022) - October, 2012 (JD)
